McTimoney Chiropractic
McTimoney Chiropractic involves safe, gentle, mobilisation to the spine, joints and other areas of the body, which create a novel stimulus to the nervous system resulting in a ‘window of opportunity’ to improve mobility and function; and assist in reducing pain. Chiropractic is a primary healthcare profession.
The gentle approaches used by McTimoney Chiropractors are extremely safe and comfortable to receive. Chiropractic care may be used regularly to help assist general health and improve performance, no matter what it is you do, from a high performance athlete to a senior member of the community enjoying a potter in the garden.
Chiropractors use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on mobilisation of the spine and joints, soft tissue massage, or a range of other techniques they are qualified in and give you advice on exercise, self help, diet and lifestyle.
Karyn also provides movement and exercise rehabilitation programmes for pain and injury as well as improving overall health and wellbeing. Chiropractic is often used for stiff or painful joints of the spine and limbs. Karyn use gentle McTimoney Chiropractic techniques to reduce pain and restore joint movement. This is combined with other approaches, including:
Joint manipulation/mobilisation
Soft tissue mobilisation & massage
Individual exercise prescription
Education and support with psychological aspects of pain.
